  12.      I have been using term for some time now and I am very happy with it. Just
  13. the other day I tried using it and I found that something had changed. When I 
  14. used the phone book and dialed it just hung  with the message "sending init 
  15. command to modem". I tried to abort without success. The only way I could get 
  16. back out of the dialer was to turn off the modem. Itried using my older 
  17. telecomm program JRComm and it worked fine. The only thing I can think may have
  18. happened was I caused a checksum error on my HD. I had to reformat and 
  19. reinstall. I used the backup I had made so everything should have been 
  20. unchanged. When term didn't work I reinstalled it without success.
